About me

I was born in Nijmegen (NL), grew up in Germany, and moved back to the Netherlands in 2014 to study Drama Therapy.

In my childhood I was fascinated by theatre and other creative forms of expression.
Later I was able to experience first-hand that the creative process can be healing, and that it can give expression to things that are difficult to explain with words and logic.
The theater and my experiences as an actress have given me the space to explore and experience within the creative aspects of drama.
The drama therapy training has given me deep insights into the psychological processes that can be stimulated and experienced within the medium of drama.
During and after my studies I have had the opportunity to gain experience as a drama therapist, both in working with children and adults.

After my studies I worked independently for a while, and then for 5 years in a practice for creative therapy (Take your time out) that focuses on the therapeutic treatment of children/young people and their families.

In addition to my work as a drama therapist, I have always stayed connected to my creative and expressive side by dancing, singing and drawing a lot.

In my independent work, I combine my passion for the artistic aspect of drama with my background as a therapist, and I look for a form that suits each individual and each request for help.
I work from the heart and from a place of connection. My focus is primarily on exploring and empowering the individual qualities of the people I work with.

The guest house

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
