THEATER
Regie, Performance, Workshops
Before studying drama therapy, I worked for five years in the theater as an actress, dancer, and singer. Rehearsing and working toward a performance have become a familiar process for me.
I also taught acting classes for adults and children. After completing my drama therapy studies, I focused more on creating and directing. For example, I directed a production at Theaterwerkplaats Zie and worked on the creation of the pshysical theater pieces "ont.moeten" and "on.eindig" for the Geleen Theater Festival. In addition, I have offered various theatre workshops for both adults and children.
By doing research on the psychological impact of therapeutic theatre, I was able to connect my experiences in performing and directing plays with my role as a drama therapist.
In addition, I completed the Forum Theater course at 'Formaat - Werkplaats voor participatief Theater' and participated in Geo Britto's masterclass.
This path ultimately led me to creating therapeutic theater, working in addiction treatment, forensic care, and asylum seekers' centers. You can find more information about this here:

Take caution, possible side effects of practising improv theater may include:
-
Snort laughing
-
Improved social skills
-
The wearing of silly hats
-
Reduced capacity of taking yourself seriously
-
Making mistakes starts seeming funny
-
Mindfully sprouting nonsense
